Cumberland Island

Only accessible by boat, Cumberland Island National Seashore is Georgia’s largest barrier island. Osprey Cove residents regularly enjoy its 36,000 acres of designated wilderness area, undeveloped beaches, historic sites, cultural ruins, critical habitat and nesting areas, as well as numerous plant and animal communities.

St. Marys Submarine Museum

Organized in March of 1996, the museum is a great place to learn about the Silent Service. A wide variety of submarine artifacts, memorabilia and information are available for viewing, and you can check out the beautiful St. Marys waterfront through a real periscope.

St. Marys Waterfront Park

In the late 1800s, tall ships crowded the harbor as St. Marys was the southernmost point of the United States and a prime trading port for the Americas. Today, the beautiful St. Marys waterfront park lines the river’s shore and is a great place to spend some time outdoors. Located at the park are public boat launch and docks, a riverfront walkway, a playground, and an amphitheater for special events and live entertainment.
